A cottar was caught stealing during a market day, both from your clan and other clans. What to do with him?

Event Dialogue[]

It's a busy day at your market. At first, the talk is about <X>, a trader from the northern kingdom of Tarsh, who came from so far away. But then people complain about missing items. One of the warriors spots <Y>, one of our cottars, stealing from a farm wife. It turns out that <Y> has stolen valuables from members of other clans, as well as his own.
  1. Outlaw <Y>.
  2. Let <Y>'s kin deal with the issue.
  3. Bring suit against <Y> to make restitution.
  4. Pardon <Y>.

King of Dragon Pass

Consequences[]

  • Outlawing the thief may damage the clan mood, or do nothing. In any case, you lose 1 Population.
  • Letting his kin deal with the issue has a chance of angering <clan with which you trade> and/or Issaries, damaging your relations/penalising your market for a year respectively.
  • Bringing suit is safer, as you don't risk angering Issaries, but you may lose clan mood or relations if the case goes badly.
  • Pardoning the thief is the riskiest option and requires a silver tongue to succeed. If it fails, you can lose clan mood, relation with <clan with which you trade>, or earn the displeasure of Issaries.
