Consequences[]
- Breaking off negotations is certainly the easiest option, but it prevents you from engaging in the 'good' endgame events.
- Offering gifts will certainly improve relations. Generosity showcases the wealth of clan, and the Grazers are not immune to this. The more you offer, the better the response.
- Offering to cease calling them Horse-spawn is also a good move. It shows respect for the Grazers, and it costs you nothing.
- If you remind the Grazers of the good things you've done for them, you better be sure you actually did. This can happen through certain events like Reclaiming the Refugees or Feathered Horse Queen.
- If you are not on great terms with the Grazers, you have the option to apologize for past transgressions against his/her people. Your own weaponthanes might object to it, but the Grazer monarch won't.
- When finished trying to gain the Horse-spawn's favor, you can propose marriage. Success is far from guaranteed.
She won't necessarily accept your king as a suitor, but gifts, a promise to call them grazers, and reminding her of the good things you've done certainly go a long way before a marriage proposal.
Once you've proposed, and she approves of you, you will be asked to join the contests she is holding to find an eligible husband. You can either refuse the terms, or accept them. Accepting the challenge leads you to Meeting the Contestants

Sometimes the Male Horse-spawn has another name. He can be called Shining Horse Lord, for example, rather than the Luminous Stallion King.
